The Llyn Peninsula is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty covering around 62 square miles. Our tour of the peninsula feature a the 84-mile section of the Wales Coast Path which runs right around the edge of the Llŷn Peninsula and feature walks crossing fields with hand-forged kissing gates and passing immaculate coves, cliffs, beaches, churches and forts. Choose to stop and take in a lesson in speaking Welsh and enjoy some of the best coastal walking in the country. Coastal Walking: Enjoy some of the finest coastal walking in Britain as we drop and rendezvous with you to save back tracking and covering the ground already walked.
Discover the ancient church of Clynnog Fawr Church founded by St. Beuno in the 7th century
Nant Gwrtheyrn: A dramatic setting in a valley beside the coast, backed by high rise cliffs, you are guaranteed to wnat to take a photograph!
Morfa Nefyn Beach: A long sweeping sheltered sandy bay nestling behind the Nefyn headland. This popular north coast seaside village features a beautiful coastal walk to Porthdinllaen and the stunning headland with its famous golf course.
Enjoy stopping off at ‘one of the best rated pubs in Wales‘ and OFFICIALLY featured in the top ten beach bars in the world or taking lunch at lunch at the lovely village of Aberdaren.
Take a boat trip out to Bardsey Island – home to 20,000 Saints (The boat trip is subject to local weather conditions and operation between April and October).
Plas Yn Rhiw: If you like gardens, then this delightful manor house features an ornamental garden and the wonderful views across Cardigan Bay are among the most spectacular in Britain.
Lloyd George Memorial Museum: Discover the life and times of David Lloyd George at the Lloyd George Museum and Highgate, his boyhood home, with Shoemaker’s Workshop and Victorian garden and witness teh stunning setting of his private grave.
Criccieth Castle: Standing in a commanding position on a rocky promontory overlooking Cardigan Bay, Criccieth is one of the greatest testaments to Welsh castle building.
Portmeirion Village: A unique place featuring a fairy tale Italianate village set around gardens and located on the coast with stunning views across the Dwyryd estuary and the distant rolling coastal hills of Meirionnydd.
The Ffestiniog Railway: The oldest independent railway company in the world, established in 1832. The railway takes you on a 13½ mile journey from the harbour in Porthmadog climbing over 700 feet from sea level to the slate-quarrying town of Blaenau Ffestiniog.
